In the Northwestern Mindanao State College of Science and Technology (NMSCST) recently held 24th Commencement Exercises, August 12, 2025, 962 graduates marched the aisles of the PE Academic Building with pride and triumph.

The graduation theme, “𝑵𝑴𝑺𝑪𝑺𝑻’𝒔 𝑷𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒔 𝑹𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈: 𝑰𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕, 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑽𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔” celebrates the journey of these 962 graduates from seven colleges, marking the culmination of their 4-year degree earned from the college.

The said celebration opens with a stirring dance performance of the Bughaw Dance Troupe showcasing the traditional colorful Subanen suite, setting a respectful yet vibrant tone. The processional march of batch 2025, along with college officials, carried an air of dignity, while the entrance of colors led by the NMSCST ROTC Cadet Officers brought poise and honor to the occasion.

The program followed the traditional way through the presentation of candidates for graduation, distribution of diplomas, which was highlighted with the motivating address and the cash gift giving of the honorable guest, Governor Henry S. Oaminal, who congratulated the graduates and urged them to always live with integrity. “𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢 𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘦, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘢 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭,” he said, expressing his deep connection to NMSCST’s growth and challenges over the years.

The Class Valedictorian 2025, Ian Jay T. Macapas, from the College of Information, Communication, and Technology and the Editor-in-Chief of The Insights Publication for four consecutive years, delivers his valedictory address, reflecting on his college journey: “𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘐 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘥. 𝘠𝘦𝘵, 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘴, 𝘐 𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦—𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩, 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵—𝘢𝘴 𝘐 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘭𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘦𝘹𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘴.”

Mr. Neil John C. Bonggol, Cum Laude from the College of Business Management, led the graduates’ pledge, honoring their dedication and achievements. The celebration concluded with the singing of "You and Me" and the NMSCST March.
